As we’re all aware of, exercise is not the kind of activity that’s only available outdoor, in fact, there are a lot of home exercises you can do with your kids. Doing this as a routine will offers many benefits for the health and growth of your little ones.
In these times and age where kids are
required to have a strong immunity system, it’s necessary to keep doing
exercises to get to that point and maintain it.
So, without further ado, here’s 5 home exercises you can do with your kids together:
1. Gymnastics
Gymnastics can be done easily inside your
house or outside on your home’s yard. Do gymnastics in the morning where
sunlight is shining through. This way your kid will get vitamin D from the
sunlight while also doing exercises.
2. Ball
or balloon throwing
If you have a wide enough yard, invite
your kid to do some ball throwing while running. But if you don’t have a wide
yard to play with balls, you can use balloon as an alternative instead.
Ask your child to throw the balloons into
the air and then tell them to not let the balloon touch the ground by tapping
them again. Despite being a seemingly simple exercise, this game can help
develop the child’s motoric ability as well as their hand and eye coordination.
3. Dancing
to music
This one should be simple enough, play
your child’s favorite song and invite them to dance along with it. This fun
activity not only helps increase the flexibility, strength and endurance of
your child, but also doing the repetitive moves in a dance helps them form
muscle and train their coordination and balance.
4. Jump
rope
Another type of exercises that you can do with your kids at home is jump rope. Use
a light rope that’s easy to hold by a child. You can do this exercise indoor or
outdoor on the yard like balloon throwing.
Jump rope itself is considered to be an
aerobic exercise that can help reduce blood pressure and fixes your sleep
quality. By doing this exercise, the body will produce endorphins that can make
your child to be happier, and as a result, reduce the stress they might be
experiencing right now.
5. Hula
hoop
Doing hula hoop is very exciting and fun
for any children out there, especially if done together with all family
members. Though, make sure the size of the hula hoops fits with the child’s
body so it’s easier to play.
The motion of rotating one’s hips while
doing hula hoops is very effective to train their sense of balance. Not only
that but this game is also helpful for the mom too if they’re looking to burn
some fat.
And that’s all for 5 home exercises can do with your kids together. It’s important
to maintain a healthy body and mind especially during these trying times. That
being said, just exercising alone won’t be enough if you’re eating fast foods
and junk foods regularly. So, try to not eat fast foods or junk food nearly as
much.
